A SUPPORT group for former service personnel with dementia has celebrated its first birthday.
The Alzheimer’s Society Veterans Memory Cafe in Crownhill meets every other Tuesday, giving military veterans and their carers the chance to socialise and receive support.
Group coordinator Sian Gough said: “We are thrilled to have received funding for the next year from the Royal British Legion to carry on this service and would like to thank the Drake Foundation for their backing in funding this in partnership with Alzheimer’s Society for the last year.
