Valentines Party is a great success! | February 2015

Valentine’s Day is best spent with someone special and the Plymouth Drake Foundation set the scene perfectly in the Lounge Suite at the Treasury Bar. Together the charity's CEO Paul Read and Ben Shearn of the Treasury planned the charity's first ever fundraiser; a Valentines Party.

Guests arrived from 7pm and were greeted by the fantastic Michael Campari who performed throughout the night, beautifully serenading the guests, which set the tone for the evening. Guests were treated to food from around the world, which went down a treat!

The evenings raffle and auction was a great success; many people bid on the auction and everybody bought into the raffle. Over 20 prizes were claimed through the raffle including Plymouth Argyle Tickets, theatre tickets and a tour of a de commissioned submarine tour for 12!

The main event was the Silent Auction which had 3 prestigious prizes:
1. A Jaguar F Type Weekend Experience Courtesy of Roger Young.
2. First Great Western First Class Tickets
3. A Weekend away for 2 courtesy of City Breaks.

The Plymouth Drake Foundation is very grateful to the donors on the evening and hope that the 3 winners enjoy their prizes. Together the 3 auction prizes raised an impressive £630.

Following the final raffle prizes the event welcomed back Michael Campari to the stage who kept the party atmosphere going as many of the guests took to the dance floor to enjoy a dance with their loved ones. We managed to capture some amazing images from the night.

The Plymouth Drake Foundation would like to thank all of our guests, The Treasury and all the businesses (listed below) that donated prizes for making our first fundraiser a really successful event; we can’t wait to make our Valentines bigger and better next year. The event raised £1,000 which thanks to the Santander Foundation and the contribution from their staff this will be matched 100% to make £2,000!
