Plymouth Drake Foundation awarded £100 to New 4 You Youth Group towards a course in Food Safety in catering Level 2 in which all 5 attendees from their community group passed!
The outcome of the training was:
1. 5 Volunteers became qualified in Food Safety and can transfer these skills into other events.
2. No one fell ill from the food that was cooked on the training days!
New 4 You Youth group hold camps on a regular basis where they take a group of youngsters away and so staff need to be properly trained to feed them safely.
