Plymouth Drake Foundation awarded a £100 grant to Plymouth University Athletics Club towards 2 Coaching Assistant courses.
The outcome of the training was:
1. 2 Volunteers are now qualified as Level 1 Coaches and this reduces costs to the group as they no longer have to hire external staff in.
2. They are now able to continue their development and apply to be trained at Level 2.
3. Once they are qualified at Level 2 standard they can mentor other volunteers to become qualified at Level 1 which would make the group a lot more self sufficient.
