Summer Grants Round 2014

The summer of 2014 saw two of our named funds open. These funds were Plymouth Drake Foundation Fund and the Plymouth Drake Foundation Royal British Legion Fund.

Plymouth Drake Foundation Fund

The Plymouth Drake Foundation had 4 applicants applying for a combined total of £4,145.00. We are delighted to say that we fully funded all 4 of the groups and their projects. The groups were:

  1. Stoke Damerel Parish Centre - awarded £500
  2. Scoot-A-Long - awarded £1,000
  3. Plymouth Mind - £850
  4. Give a Child a Chance - £1,795

Plymouth Drake Foundation Royal British Legion Fund

This fund had only 2 applicants applying for a combined total of £7,145.50. Once more we were able to fully fund both groups and they were:

  1. RNPSLO Jack and Jills Pre-Schools - awarded £2145.50
  2. Farm-Able Project - awarded £5,000.00

These grants are used solely for the benefit of Plymouth and are a great showcase of how a small grant can go a long way; stay tuned for more information on each of these groups and their projects.

A great summer grants round being able to fund every group who made it through the application stage - however each fund had more funding available and we encourage all Plymouth Community or Voluntary groups to sign up to our Newsletter for all the information on when our grant rounds open.

The next round, The 2014 Autumn grants round opens for expressions of interest on the 30th November 2014. Make sure you are application ready!
