The Plymouth Sea Cadets were awarded with a grant for £2,000 from the Plymouth Drake Foundation Trinity House Fund, managed by the Devon Community Foundation.
Plymouth Drake Sea Cadets are based in Building SO4OA, South Yard of HMNB Devonport, Plymouth. Plymouth Drake share their building with HMS VIVID (RNR).
The Sea Cadets is a nationwide voluntary youth organisation, open to young people aged 12 to 18 and with Junior Sections open to those of 10 to 12 years of age, run by enthusiastic adult volunteers It provides fun, friendship and adventure.
The grant will be used to purchase a new safety boat.
