Ladies and Gentleman the Plymouth Drake Foundation had another fantastic evening in the Plymouth University's Graduation Marquee and we would like to thank those who attended and helped make the event such a special occasion. Each year it grows in number and we would like to offer out biggest thanks to the University Events team for helping us organise and for hosting the event.

All pictures from the event can be found on our Facebook page.

If you did not attend then you missed out a night of celebration and engaging presentations on the priceless work that local people to for our Plymouth Community. Now is your chance to catch up as I take you on a journey of how the event unfolded...

Marcus Liddle of Radio Plymouth was our brilliant host for the evening and following a speech from our Chairman Arthur Ainslie he welcomed our guest speakers Ian Sheriff of Plymouth University and Jeremy Hughes, the CEO of Alzheimer's Society to the stage.

The presentations were inspirational and focused on the champion work that Plymouth does to help make the city and community more Dementia friendly. Dementia was the key theme of the evening.

Marcus then welcomed back our superb performers the Pilgrimaires! The Pilgrimaires gave a fine performance and had the audience singing and whistling along to greats such as - "Always look on the bright side of life". The event then moved onto the Award Ceremonies were 3 award were given out to people/groups that have gone that extra mile to make a difference in their communities.

The award winners were:
