The Plymouth Drake Foundation award. This award was for any group or community organisations that does fantastic work in the Plymouth Community. We received countless nominations which told our charity that there are so many people going above and beyond for our Plymouth Community.
Our Communities Committed panel had to look through the nominations and select a winner, AMBER'S ANGELS TRUST
We received so many nominations from this group and had to call them to ask their supporters to stop submitting as it wasn't a numbers game! Amber's Angels Trust work with children and Adult survivors of Child Abuse. The care Amber's offer is 5 fold – they have Amber's Gift, Online Support Groups, Sponsoring, Court Room Angels and Angel Bears Journey. Although not all types of their service is always needed it can be empowering enough to just let the victims know that they are not alone and they have access to the care and support they need which as I’m sure you all agree is an incredible service.
We were delighted to award this group with the trophy and prize and it was equally well received bringing a tear to Amber's eye! A great group with a great team. To find out more about them or to get involved please visit their Facebook page.
